Sailing in Central London!?

Shaftesbury Avenue is a would-be sailor’s paradise right now!

A nautical inspired extravaganza of a window display from Angels fancy dress shop coupled with one of our favourite shops – Arthur Beale (a yacht chandler selling rope, cleats, ships bells, books of knots and much, much more for over 400 years!) it’s the street to head to!

If only we were off to (H.M.S) Bestival this year – we’d know where to go for our costumes!!

And in other nautical news, we came across these amazing boats quite by chance the other week at the Tate Modern as part of their Hyperlink series.

Susan Stockwell’s Sail Away took place on the 27th & 28th April – there were loads of little boats made from paper money, tickets and maps…….if only we’d had time to stop and make one ourselves!
